The star cactus from Exo Terra is a fantastic option for creating a natural looking desert habitat for your pet without the disadvantages associated with using live plants.

Whilst this plant may be made of plastic, it looks just like its living counterpart. However, it requires minimal maintenance in terms of watering, feeding, pruning etc and will happily tolerate the high temperatures of your vivarium. Perfect if you aren't blessed with green fingers! Furthermore, livefood is not going to start devouring the plant - something that can be an issue if you're using real vegetation in an enclosure.
