Barking Irons Spirits was co-founded by Elliott Phear and Casey McGrath to bring applejack — one of America’s earliest spirits — back to life. The brand pays homage to the heritage of old New York, from the map of Five Points printed inside the bottle to the traditional firefighter’s-shield shape of the front label. The spirit is distilled upstate, then aged in Brooklyn in charred oak.
