This vintage, charcoal gray, almost black, knee length skirt is by Italian luxury clothing designer Alberta Ferretti for size 42 or US size 6. The skirt is new, but only 1/3 of the tag is still left. I’m guessing, but I think it may have originally retailed for over $500.
I wanted to find a cool photo of this skirt on the runway to include in my listing. So I looked at every single picture of each Ready To Wear Runway Collection from 1996 to 2021. I never did find one, but Alberta Ferretti is now my favorite designer. Everything she made is so delicate, feminine, like draped liquid silk. Kind of an ethereal 1920’s-1930’s vibe. And then all of the gorgeous colors of every season! Yum!
This delightful skirt is 100% silk Charmeuse, which is super soft and luxurious. There’s also sheer champagne silk chiffon trim and stitching around the waist. The same champagne colored silk and stitching is delicately pleated in the back of the charming skirt, in the slit. There is a hidden side zipper
